Real Wedding: Ana & Mack | Private House | Cambridge, MD |
This wedding is one that is near and dear to my heart. Shortly after my sister-in-law got engaged she gave me creative freedom over all things calligraphy for her intimate wedding ceremony. Slightly daunting, but exciting nonetheless. Ana and Mack wed at a private house on the Eastern Shore of Maryland overlooking the Chesapeake Bay in the presence of their closest family members. Mackenzie Leigh Photography captured the day so perfectly and I got to try my hand at floral arrangements.
Ana & Mack’s invitations played on the colors of the season. I was skeptical at the first mention of orange, but I fell in love with the depth of the burnt terracotta of the wax seal and text on the invitation. I opted for a simple monogram on the envelope liner to keep the design clean. Handmade paper envelopes provided organic texture.
The wax seals and gold calligraphy on the place cards contrasted the deep green in the napkins.
As a non-florist, I am pretty proud of my handiwork on her bouquet!
Ana & Mack, your day was perfect. Congratulations!
